Now that you’re coming to university, you want the best start you can possibly get.

You want a jump on your first year, and you want an easy way to get engaged with the university community, your professors, and your classmates. You also want to know you’re choosing the right courses, and starting the right way. This is the only first year you’re going to have, and you can make it count by joining  UPEI's Learning Community: A First Year Advantage. 

UPEI’s Learning Community is intended to create a teaching and learning environment for students and faculty where academic enrichment and student success are priorities. With attention given to both in-classroom and out-of classroom teaching and learning, student and faculty will be engaged in exploring meaningful relationships between not only different classes but different and varied ways of understanding meaning and purpose in subject matter. Students will have the opportunity to foster working relationships and friendships with other students in their learning community and with their faculty members.
